BURCH CEMETERY
The Burch cemetery is located in the northwest corner of the northeast quarter of section 9-20-38 in Wichita County.
In Volume 1, page 222, of the county records, dated September 20, 1888, I found this notation: "one acre square tract which is occupied as a cemetery" with no official name given. The Burch families lived nearby. Some of the relatives were buried there but later were moved to the Leoti, Cemetery.
The only marked grave we can distinguish is that of Alice Hazen, born July
18, 1904, who died January 16, 1906. There are two more graves with yellow stone
markers, which have weathered past reading; we have no idea who may be buried
there.
